Split PDF
Split one PDF into several files: cut at exact page ranges, chunk the document every N pages, or save every page as its own PDF. Each output keeps the original page quality, and the whole job runs in your browser.
How it works
- 1
Choose how to split
Type ranges like 1-3, 4-6, or pick a fixed chunk size. The file list updates as you type.
- 2
Check the pages
Thumbnails and the page count let you confirm the numbering before anything is cut.
- 3
Save the results
Save files one at a time, or save every part as a single ZIP.
Your privacy is the point
This tool runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas. Your file is never uploaded to a server, never stored and never seen by anyone but you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I split a password-protected PDF?+
Yes. Enter the password when prompted — it is used in memory to decrypt the file and is never stored or uploaded.
What happens to links and bookmarks?+
Page content, images and annotations are copied as-is. Internal bookmarks are not rebuilt in the parts, and links pointing at pages that ended up in another file may stop working.
Is there a limit on how many files I can create?+
Only your browser’s memory. Splitting into one file per page is fine for typical documents, but a thousand-page scan will be slow because every part is written separately.
