PDF to Word
Rebuild a PDF as an editable Word document. Choose editable paragraphs — with font sizes taken from the PDF and a page break between pages — or a visual copy where each page is embedded as a crisp image.
How it works
- 1
Add your PDF
Drop the file and enter its password if it is protected.
- 2
Choose the mode
Editable text for rewriting, visual copy for exact appearance.
- 3
Save the .docx
The document opens in Word, Pages, Google Docs or LibreOffice.
Your privacy is the point
This tool runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas. Your file is never uploaded to a server, never stored and never seen by anyone but you.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the result not look exactly like the PDF?+
Editable text mode rebuilds paragraphs from the text layer, so columns, tables, images, colours and exact positioning are lost — that is the price of editable text. Choose Visual copy when appearance matters more than editing.
My PDF is a scan and nothing was extracted. What now?+
A scan is just a picture, so there is no text layer to copy. Use the OCR tool first to recognise the characters, then convert the result — or pick Visual copy here to keep the pages as images inside the Word file.
Are passwords sent anywhere?+
No. The password is kept in memory only, used by the in-browser PDF engine to decrypt the file, and discarded when you close the tab.
