Add page numbers
Stamp page numbers in any corner, with your own format, start number and margin. Latin labels use the built-in Helvetica font; Chinese and other non-Latin labels are rendered as crisp images so they display correctly in every reader.
How it works
- 1
Choose where and what
Pick a corner and a format such as “1”, “1 / N” or “Page 1 of N”.
- 2
Tune the details
Set the start number, font size, colour, margin and which pages to number.
- 3
Apply and save
Numbers are written into the page content, so they print and stay put.
Your privacy is the point

Frequently asked questions
Why are Chinese page numbers images?+
The PDF standard fonts only cover Latin-1 characters. Non-Latin labels are rasterised at high resolution and placed as a transparent image, so they look right everywhere. They are not selectable text.
Can I number only some pages?+
Yes. Enter a page range such as 2-10, and optionally skip the first page. The start number applies to the first page that actually gets a number.
Do numbers appear correctly on rotated pages?+
Yes. The label is rotated to match the page’s own rotation and its crop box, so it reads upright instead of lying on its side.
